Working under the guidance of a Supervisor, you will carry out a variety of duties including serving customers, filling bagels to order, ensuring the store is clean and operational, washing up, sorting and storing ingredients with the correct date labels, washing, peeling and chopping ingredients, putting out the rubbish and recycling, cleaning food preparation areas, floors and equipment and cashier duties. As this job involves filling bagels to order and some food preparation, it is a great stepping stone to becoming a chef for those without formal qualifications.

You will need to be a great team player, understand the importance of food hygiene, have plenty of stamina and the ability to listen and learn fast. No qualifications required, all you need is a love of food, common sense, commitment and a strong work ethic. Baker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced baker to join our team. Working alongside a Bakery Assistant, you will be responsible for the nightly production of hand rolled bagels for sale in our own three bagel stores and to our wholesale and catering customers. Your primary tasks will be to mix dough, roll, proof and bake bagels in accordance with our recipe, food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP). You will also be required to clean work areas, cool and bag bagels ready for delivery.

Production is split over 7 nights. This will require you to commit to 40 hours a week made up of 5 shifts a week of approximately 5 – 10 hours in the bakery and occasionally helping out in store. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a years’ baking experience, be able to manage their own workload and have plenty of stamina. A clean driving licence would be a bonus but is not essential.
